Dune and Wonka star Timothée Chalamet dropped in on a Northern Minnesota high school on Thursday afternoon, spending a little time with some drama students during a rehearsal for an upcoming performance. How cool is that?!

Chalamet paid a visit to Hibbing High School, visiting with students in the Hibbing High School Drama Department as they prepared for their performance of "The Girl in the White Pinafore" on Friday afternoon.

The students were practicing for the performance in the school's auditorium when he popped in to "talk shop" as Flom Designs and Photography described it in a Facebook post that included some photos of Chalamet in the auditorium visiting with students and posing for photos.

You might wonder why Chalamet would make an appearance at an Iron Range high school's rehearsal for a play. Besides making these students' day, there might be a little business being done as well.

As it turns out, he is slated to play a role with ties to the Northland.

Chalamet will be playing Minnesota native Bob Dylan in an upcoming biopic titled "A Complete Unknown" Esquire Magazine reports that Chalamet will not only be doing the speaking parts, but also singing in the film.

Esquire highlights Timothée's "incredible voice" as an element of his portrayal of Bob Dylan, who was born in Duluth in 1941 and grew up in Hibbing, where he attended Hibbing High School.

The movie will explore Dylan's controversial decision to play an all-electric set at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival. Dylan "going electric" shocked many, but was a pivotal moment in his career and in music history.

The biopic is being directed by James Mangold, who also directed the very successful 2005 Johnny Cash biopic "Walk The Line".

The film will also star the likes of Elle Fanning, Nick Offerman, and Edward Norton.

World of Reel reports filming of the movie was delayed due to last year's strike, but production is expected to get underway in February at locations including Montreal and New York.
