Foodies: Sioux Falls Needs Your Vote
Sioux Falls is home to a wide array of palate-pleasing cuisine. Downtown Sioux Falls has several local favorites like Sanaa's 8th Street Gourmet, Mama's Ladas, Parker's Bistro, M.B. Haskett, and Bros Brasserie, just to name a few. Every corner of Sioux Falls has restaurants that specialize in homemade, unique food. Jacky's Restaurant serves unbeatable Guatemalan. The Barrel House offers made from scratch pizzas. The Golden Bowl makes mouth-watering Chinese. Not only do we have an immense selection of local restaurants, chain restaurants help make up the more than 700 restaurants in the city.
Midwest Living has recognized Sioux Falls' food scene. Sioux Falls was recently named a finalist for "Midwest Living's Greatest Midwest Town 2017, Food Edition." The story will appear in the May/June Midwest Living magazine that hits your mailbox this week if you're a subscriber or will be in stores next week.
Sioux Falls is competing with 11 other mid-size towns including Duluth, Minnesota, Fargo, North Dakota and Lincoln, Nebraska.
Midwest Living editors nominated Sioux Falls due to the avid food scene following, originality, character, and regionalism.
