A car chase between a drug dealer and purchaser ended when one of vehicles crashed into a tree, while another vehicle fled the scene.

The fatal crash at Western Avenue and 24th Street in Sioux Falls Wednesday (February 22) ended the life of Kareem Cisse, 15, after a drug deal gone wrong.

Alexander Lingor, 16, is facing second degree murder charges along with first and second degree manslaughter charges after a car crash.

Lt. Michael Colwill said an investigation found a pickup driven by Lingor was involved in the crash.

We were able to identify the driver of the pickup that we believe caused the accident when the pickup struck the sedan, forcing the sedan off of the roadway.

Police also say Anthony Moran, 26, was with Lingor during the incident and now faces felony charges.

The argument and car chase according to Lieutenant Colwill was over the sale of marijuana.

It’s believed that the individuals in the pickup were there to sell the narcotics and the individuals in the sedan were there to purchase the narcotics and that they were the individuals that actually were doing the drug rip.

Police believe the vehicle Cisse was in fled the scene after taking the marijuana without paying.

The 18-year old driver of the sedan was released from a hospital and a 16 year old passenger remains hospitalized.  Another 16-year-old passenger in the sedan is still being treated for injuries.

Lingor’s bond was set at $1 million which includes a possibility of parole due to being a minor.

Additional charges could be pending.
