You'd have to be a cluck not to know why The Keg is legendary in Sioux Falls! Well, okay, to be fair, it is entirely possible that not everyone knows about the restaurant's crispy, juicy, "wonder-chicken". You have to have lived in Sioux Falls for some time to know the mythology.

Generations of Sioux Falls residents grew up eating Keg chicken. For all reasons, for all seasons, special occasions, Sunday dinner or Wednesday lunch, hot at the restaurant, or cold for a picnic, or leftovers - - it was a delicious tradition. Until the lingering damage from the 2008 recession forced The Keg to close in 2012.

Fans of the fantastic fowl lobbied for its return for years, and finally, in 2015 The Keg re-opened in its current location on West 12th Street.

Now it should be only another month or so before you can sink your choppers into the crunchy, savory, coating of Keg chicken, on the east side of Sioux Falls. The new location will be at 5216 E. Arrowhead Parkway (the former Noodles & Company store). The owners had hoped to be open by Valentine's Day, but construction issues have pushed the date back a bit.

So stay tuned. Like a deep-fried superhero racing to your rescue - - Keg chicken is winging its way back to eastern Sioux Falls soon!
