Cut-a-thon in Memory of Amanda Connors
Friday, September 11 - 9:00 AM-5:00 PM at Cost Cutters, 2701 West 41st Street. Haircuts will be given for a minimum $10 donation each. All proceeds will go toward a cosmetology school scholarship at Stewart’s School. Call 605-335-3387 for an appointment.

Art for Arthritis
Friday, September 11 - 6:30 PM at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Sioux Falls. A one-of-a-kind event, bringing together local artists and children who have juvenile arthritis. There will be hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, diamond raffle, live and silent auction and fabulous works of art. Tickets are $50.

Sioux Falls 5K
Saturday, September 12 - 10:00 AM at Veterans Memorial Park / Covell Lake area. Proceeds benefit Sanford Children's Hospital and Children's Miracle Network.

Heartland Country Corn Maze
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, September 11, 12, 13 - Walk through an 11-acre life-size corn maze in the shape of a turkey. Open Fridays from 5:00-9:00 PM, Saturdays 12:00 - 9:00 PM and Sundays 12:00 - 5:00 PM. Located 2 ½ miles east of Harrisburg, then 1 ½ miles south on Highway 11. $7 adults, 5-10 $5, 4 and under free.

Sioux Empire Community Theater Presents "Fiddler on the Roof"
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, September 11, 12, 13 - 7:00 PM Friday and Saturday and 2:00 PM Sunday at the Historic Orpheum Theater in downtown Sioux Falls.

Walk to End Alzheimer's
Saturday, September 12 - Registration at 9:00 AM at Sertoma Park and the walk starts at 10:15 AM. Funds raised will further the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Germanfest
Saturday, September 12 - 2:00 - 10:00 PM at Falls Park West in downtown Sioux Falls. Featuring live music, 8th annual Dachshund race, children’s area, German food and drink, dancing, vendors and more! Admission is free.

March Into the Light
Saturday, September 12 - An annual community fundraising walk to celebrate wellness from the disease of drug and alcohol addiction. Registration at 6am and the walk at 6:30am beginning and ending at the Washington Pavilion. It’s a 1 ½ mile walk around downtown Sioux Falls. There will be refreshments, music and family-friendly activities.

Sidewalk Arts Festival
Saturday, September 12 - 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Located between Main and Dakota Avenues in downtown Sioux Falls. Over 225 vendors, large food court, activities for kids, live entertainment and more. The event is a fundraiser for the Visual Arts Center of the Washington Pavilion.

President's Bowl
Saturday, September 12 - At Howard Wood Field. Washington vs. Yankton at 3:30 PM and Lincoln vs Roosevelt at 7:00 PM. The President’s Bowl is the primary source of booster club funding at all 3 Sioux Falls public high schools

Sioux Falls Tour de Coop
Saturday, September 12 - 1:00 - 5:00 PM starting at 2300 West 33rd Street. A guided car or bicycle tour of urban chicken coops and gardens in central Sioux Falls. The event is free, but there is a $5 suggested donation per person.

Fall Parade of Homes
Saturday, Sunday, Monday, September 12, 13, 14 - If you’re looking for a new home or just interested in seeing the latest trends in home building, home décor and design you’ll want to check this out. Parade times are 1:00 - 5:00 PM Saturday and Sunday and 5:30-8:30 PM Monday. Tour several newly constructed homes for free. Homes in all prices ranges located throughout the Sioux Empire. Tour the feature home in Valley Springs for $5 with proceeds benefitting the Home Builders Care Foundation. Also September 19-21.

September 10 - 20 - in Spencer, Iowa. Grandstand entertainment includes, RaeLynn, Herman’s Hermits, Oak Ridge Boys, Casting Crowns, Halestorm, Little Big Town and more! Midway, Art Barn, entertainment, car racing, truck and tractor pull and more.

Sunday, September 13 - At the Children's Museum of South Dakota in Brookings. 12:00 - 5:00 PM. The Children’s Museum and outdoor Prairie space will be open to the public. Plus, there will be a Super Science Shindig party featuring Science Steve and the ZooMobile.

Sunday, September 13 - The Marathon starts at 6:30 AM and the Half-marathon at 7:00 PM at Howard Wood Field. A benefit for Sanford Children’s Hospital and Children’s Miracle Network.
