FAA Investigating Plane Crash in Minnesota
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the crash around 4:30 p.m. The aircraft went down in Baytown Township, which is about six miles south of Stillwater.
The pilot made the 911 call and was able to walk away from the crash site and meet first responders at a nearby road, according to a news release from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. The pilot said he was the only occupant of the small plane.
The pilot was transported to a nearby hospital with what were described as minor injuries. The FAA has not yet determined what caused the plane crash.
