Dad Gives His Side of the Story in Parody of ‘Rude’ by Magic!

My favorite song this year is "Rude" by the Canadian reggae-pop band Magic! It's constantly stuck in my head and I'm fine with it. It's a great song about a guy who tries to ask his girlfriend's dad for her hand in marriage but he says no.

Benji and Jenna Cowart have hit a viral video home run with their parody of the song giving the father's point of view. While calling out the fictional suitor's lack of a good job and still living in his mom's basement, he also threatens the punk with serious consequences if he decides to "marry her anyway."
