UPDATE:

Sioux Falls police now say they do not suspect foul play was involved in the second body found in less than a two week period along the Big Sioux River near downtown.

Dakota News Now is reporting that a construction worker came across the second body on Wednesday afternoon along the Big Sioux River near the viaduct on 10th Street.

Officer Sam Clemens with the Sioux Falls Police Department told Dakota News Now, authorities are still in the process of investigating, but at this time, the death does not appear to be suspicious in nature.

Police have yet to release the victim's name.


ORIGINAL STORY:

For the second time in less than two weeks, a body has been found along the Big Sioux River near downtown Sioux Falls.

Dakota News Now is reporting the second body was found on Wednesday afternoon (April 15) along the banks of the Big Sioux near the viaduct along 10th Street.

According to Dakota News Now, authorities are still in the process of investigating, and police were not able to offer up any more details at this time.

A Sioux Falls police sergeant told Dakota News Now authorities should be able to shed a little more light on the situation during their Thursday morning police briefing with the media at 10:30.

A passerby discovered another body along the Big Sioux River on (April 5) as they were walking along the river north of 6th Street. After an investigation, police were able to determine there was no foul play involved in that case.
