‘After Orlando’ Presented by The Monstrous Little Theatre Company
The Monstrous Little Theatre Company is a local theatre group that tries to bring new and sometimes unexpected productions to the Sioux Falls area.
For a lot of people, the arts are a way of therapy. Musicians put their feelings in their songs, actors use a character to convey emotions, and writers may put down on paper all of their feelings. Even someone who enjoys hearing and watching the arts can use it as a way to process their feelings during a rough time.
When the shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando happened many people were devastated. After Orlando was theatre's way of grieving.
The Facebook event page describes After Orlando as follows:
...a selection of readings from AFTER ORLANDO, an international theatre action in response to the tragic shooting at Pulse Nightclub on June 12, 2016.
AFTER ORLANDO was curated by Missing Bolts Productions and NoPassport Theatre Alliance & Press. Comprised of over 70 plays, After Orlando sheds light on the growing devastating history of gun violence in the U.S. and worldwide.
This is a one night only event on Monday, January 30th at 7:30 PM at The Bakery, located at 910 Main Ave.
