Why Hasn’t Hollywood Brought ‘Perfect Strangers’ Back?

In this day and age remakes, spin-offs, and sequels are everywhere.

Furious 7 dominated the box office. Full House is allegedly getting a reboot. Girls Meets World on Disney Channel is continuing the story of Boy Meets World. The Odd Couple is back on TV with Matthew Perry.

So I got to thinking, which show from the past should be brought back?

And I came up with.....Perfect Strangers!

Do you remember Perfect Strangers? Two distant cousins become roommates in Chicago. Larry and Balki, got into all kinds of shenanigans. Plus, Balki had some of the best, most memorable catch phrases like, "Get out of the city" and "Well, of course not, don't be ridiculous!" But you had to give him a break. He didn't know any better, he was from Mypos. Which is actually made up, but I always thought they said meatballs.

In my trip down memory lane, I found out Family Matters was actually a spin-off of Perfect Strangers. Harriet Winslow was first a recurring character on Perfect Strangers and then we got to follow her family on Family Matters. So technically, without Perfect Strangers we never would have had Steve Urkel in our lives!
