All About ‘Cups’ by Anna Kendrick [VIDEO]

Do you want to know what's up with that Cups song? It's by Anna Kendrick from the movie Pitch Perfect. It's kind of different and fun, here's the story.

It's a cover of Cups (You're Gonna Miss Me) by Lulu and the Lampshades which is a  a rendition of the folk song Miss Me When I'm Gone by J. E. Mainer's Mountaineers. Actress Anna Kendrick (The Twilight Saga, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) saw a video online of someone playing the song with a cup and he wanted to teach herself to do it. When the Pitch Perfect folks found out she could do it that wanted it in the movie. Here she tells David Letterman the story and gives a demonstration:

She did it in the movie and everybody lover it so much the producers remixed the song adding some instrumentation and expanded the track.
