The westside of Sioux Falls is gearing up to celebrate the grand opening of a new McDonald's restaurant at 41st and Ellis Road. It's the first McDonald's built west of Interstate-29 in Sioux Falls (8320 W. 41st St, Sioux Falls, SD 57106).

On Tuesday October 8th, local franchise Jordan Hartshorn will cut the ribbon on the new business.

From 10:00 AM-2:00 PM, the day's fun will includes live music, games, giveaways, and prizes.

Stomp the Bison, the Sioux Falls Stampede mascot, and Thunder from the Sioux Falls Skyforce will also be visiting.

Inside there are four kiosks for ordering. Outside they have seven curbside pickup stalls and a double lane drive-thru.

The new McDonald's is owned and operated by Hart2Hart Inc. The company, headed by second generation McDonald's owner Jordan Hartshorn, has 19 restaurants
across South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa.
