Troye Sivan Turns ‘Animal’ in Mellow, Moonstruck Serenade (LISTEN)
Troye Sivan, bop boy wonder, reinvents himself in the year's most sweet-sounding slow jam. "Animal," the definitive single from the Australian vocalist's long-awaited sophomore release, Bloom, is an atmospheric production teeming with bated vocals and blurry synth dreamscapes.
"I want you all to myself/ Don't leave none for nobody else," Sivan purrs over the cloudy chorus in the Ariel Rechtshaid-produced composition as piano keys tinkle in the backdrop. "No angels could beckon me back/ And it's hotter than hell where I'm at/ I am an animal with you."

"Animal is one of my fave songs I’ve ever written," the 23-year-old tweeted in celebrating the record's arrival. "I wanted to make an epic, timeless love song about how whipped i am."
The star's new production follows last month's unveiling of Sivan's groovy collaboration "Dance to This" with pop goddess Ariana Grande. Both singles — along with the previously-issued "Bloom" and "My My My" — will feature on Sivan's follow-up to 2015's Blue Neighbourhood, arriving on August 31.
Sivan kicks off The Bloom Tour on September 21 to promote the release.
