Time Running Out to Sign Up for the Affordable Care Act
If you qualify for health care coverage under the Affordable Care Act but have not yet applied, you are running out of time.
Mike Fierberg of the regional office of the Center for Medicare Services in Denver says the enrollment period ends on the 31st of this month. And Fierberg says you don't want to wait until just before the deadline:
And you can do that online at healthcare.gov.
Fierberg says for those who have not finished the enrollment process and signed up for a plan by the 31st, the window will close, but he says once you sign up you can delay into April making your first month's premium.
The next window will open on November 15th of this year.
