
Things to Do in Sioux Falls This Weekend: Sept 13–14
Here we are, waiting patiently for the weekend. It's almost here, too! But what is there to do in Sioux Falls this weekend? Let's turn to our community calendar and find some highlights.
Some of the usual Sioux Empire weekend stuff is going on. The Heartland County Corn Maze, just a few miles south of town, is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The Falls Park Farmer's Market is going strong through the end of the month. Come out to Falls Park between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM. It's as fun as people say.
Sioux Falls Lincoln takes on Sioux Falls Roosevelt on Friday at 5:00 PM at Howard Wood Field. Then Jefferson and Washington go at it at 7:30.
Lennox comes to USF Bob Young Stadium to take on Sioux Falls Christian on Friday at 8:00 PM.

Roots Fest, Dakota Bowl & More: Sioux Falls Weekend Highlights
Saturday, September 13
Roots Fest: Brought to us by Roots of Brasil in downtown Sioux Falls, this free, family-friendly outdoor event features a day full of music at 201 N. Weber Ave. From noon to 8:00 PM Saturday, you can enjoy a diverse lineup of local live music, from bossa nova to rock.

- Non-alcoholic fan favorites.
- Kid Zone with fun activities and games
47TH Annual Bob Burns Dakota Bowl: The O'Gorman Knights take on Brandon Valley at O'Gorman High School in Sioux Falls. Kickoff is 7:00 PM. The Dakota Bowl is a fundraiser that supports the Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools.
Before the game, there will be tailgating in the parking lot. Also, look for a Kids’ Zone from 1-3 with inflatables, face painting, and more.

- Knights Way Parade
- Pre-game show with skydivers, shirt shoot, trivia, and more
- The halftime show will feature the Marching Knights, fireworks, and Knight Vision Video
Sunday, September 14
Retro Skate Party at Jacobson Plaza: Bring your own skates and roll down memory lane. This is an all-ages event. Enjoy 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and beyond music while roller-skating around the ribbon. There will be skating games, a photo booth, and more.
