The state flag of Nebraska flew upside-down over the Nebraska capitol building in Lincoln, NE for ten days and it seems nobody noticed.

The Omaha World-Herald reports that Nebraska State Senator Burke Harr want to use the incident as a springboard to change the state flag. Harr says the the current flag is unremarkable and doesn't represent modern Nebraska.

The current flag was adopted in 1925. It has the state seal on a blue background.

Harr is asking that the Nebraska Unicameral to consider creating a task force to decide whether the state should design a new flag.

As a Nebraska native, I've always liked the flag, but an update could improve the state's image. As long as it doesn't include any Husker stuff.
