The Most Popular Music Genre in South Dakota

When you think of the most popular music genre in the state of South Dakota one would think it would be either country or classic rock. Well you would be wrong!

The free streaming service Mixcloud has found what music genres are the  most popular in every state.

As for South Dakota, the most popular music genre is EDM believe it or not. EDM stand for Electronic Dance Music.

According to Wikipedia "EDM is generally produced for playback by disc jockeys (DJs) who create seamless selections of tracks, called a mix by  segueing from one recording to another."

Some of the most popular EDM artist are Skrillex, Davd Guetta, The Chainsmokers, Avicii, Calvin Harris and Zedd just to name a few.
