The ‘Full House’ Dads Reunite on Jimmy Fallon
Get ready for nostalgia overload, because this clip from 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' features the guys from 'Full House' reprising their roles. Have mercy!
If you remember 'Full House' from the '90s, then you'll surely remember the three de facto dads of the household: Danny Tanner, Jesse Katsopolis and Joey Gladstone. Together, these three men were collectively nurturing, cool and goofy. In this clip from Jimmy Fallon's show, Bob Saget, John Stamos and Dave Coulier reprise their respective roles in a scene in which Jimmy expresses his sadness at leaving Late Night.
What ensues is a nostalgia-ridden exchange full of winks at the audience, callbacks to fan-favorite catchphrases and even that sad, sappy music we always used to hear when something touching was happening onscreen or when someone was learning a lesson.
The crew at Late Night even painstakingly rebuilt Michelle Tanner's room, as well as her kooky childhood bed with the pencils sticking out of it. We're treated to Danny's "Wake Up, San Francisco!" intro, Jesse's "have mercy!" and even a bit of Joey's impersonations, which of course had to include Popeye for some reason. Not only that, but Mr. Woodchuck made a return to television after so many years of being absent from the public eye. It was all very funny, heartwarming stuff.
The responses we had were almost Pavlovian and we found ourselves smiling wistfully at all of our familiar friend who were just waiting around the bend. And now you can as well, just by watching the clip above!
