Seriously though, I feel like I did alright for someone that hasn't tried to hit a softball or baseball since about 2004.

My prior softball/baseball experience was one year of T-ball when I was 5 and the softball unit during High School PE.

On St. Patrick's Day, (hence the outfit) I took a time out from corned beef and cabbage and bangers and mash to hit some balls. We went to D-Bat Sioux Falls located at 1300 Benson Avenue. To be honest, I didn't know this place existed, but then again, I'm not exactly an avid baseball player.

D-Bat is actually a pretty cool place. They offer batting cages, coaching, lessons, camps, and clinics, you can even have your birthday party there! There is even a comfy couch area where parents can relax and watch while their kids hit some balls.

D-Bat provides the bats and balls if you don't have your own. They also have tons of baseball gear there for purchase.

The video is obviously good for a laugh. I have terrible form and whiffed on more than one occasion, but I think overall, I did okay-ish. Hey, I didn't get hit with a ball, so I consider it a win.

For the sake of sounding cheesy, I think I eventually got the swing of it. Get it?

I'd like to note that I was an idiot and first-timer in this establishment and did not wear a helmet, which was stupid. Helmets are mandatory and I should have worn won. I'll know better next time!
