I love stories like this! At a cross country meet in Wisconsin, a Shawano High School junior Teagan Monfils, is being recognized after she helped a fellow athlete cross the finish line at Saturday's cross country sectionals. As she got closer to the finish line, she saw a runner on the ground. She said:

"I saw the girl ahead of me and she was getting really wobbly on her feet. She was 10 ft ahead of me and she just fell. The first thing that came to my mind was to make sure she was alright, I was like, hey are you ok?"

Teagan carried DC Everest Senior Jordan across the finish line, making sure she finishes the race. But both athletes were disqualified from the meet. The National Federation of State High School Associations rules say you can't air or assist another runner. The injured runner, was taken by ambulance to a hospital but was not seriously injured.
