South Dakota Gas Prices Climb Slightly, More in Sioux Falls
The average price for gas in the state has risen slightly over the last week.
In South Dakota, the price has climbed two cents to $2.36, according to AAA. One month ago the price was $2.46. One year ago the average price was $2.20.
“Domestic wholesale gasoline and global crude oil prices increased last week causing gas prices to fluctuate,” said Marilyn Buskohl, AAA spokesperson. “Pump prices in the week ahead could see further volatility depending on the movement of the oil market as well as U.S. gasoline demand and stock levels numbers.”
The average price for gas in Sioux Falls as of this writing is $2.30 per gallon according to GasBuddy.com. That is three cents higher than a week ago. The cheapest place to buy gas in Sioux Falls is at Costco for $2.15 per gallon. For non-member gas buyers, you can get gas for $2.16 per gallon at Casey's on East Benson Rd and at Cenex on North Cliff Avenue.
