South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley is the new Vice President of the National Association of Attorneys General.

Jackley's office says the group's members are the Attorneys General of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealths of Puerto Rico and the Northern Mariana Islands, and the territories of American Samoa, Guam, and the Virgin Islands.

Chosen as President-Elect is Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood, a Democrat, and Wisconsin Attorney General J. B. Van Hollen, a Republican, is the current President.

The Association's annual meeting was held in Boston, Massachusetts.

Jackley says the leadership position in the national group will, in his words, "further assist me in identifying and addressing issues that directly impact South Dakota. "
