South Dakota, a State for Cat Lovers

Are you a cat person? Are you a stat person? I got stats on cats, including how many are in South Dakota. 24/7 Wall St. recently published the states with the most and least cat owners. And people do love cats.

South Dakota came in at number four on the list. With 39.1% of cat-owning households. Although the cat population within the state is the 9th lowest in the country, the study says that every household has at least two cats inside their home.

The states with the least amount of cat owners include Utah, Louisiana, New Jersey and Illinois.

The states with the most amount of cat owners, are Vermont, Maine, Oregon.
