
Sioux Falls Area Snowfall Totals for Saturday – 3 Inches in the City
It sure took its sweet time, but winter has decided to start acting like winter. The Sioux Empire finally saw some snow fall...and stay on the ground for more than a day.
Sioux Falls woke up Saturday morning (Feb 8) to a few inches of snow. Snow moved into the city in the early morning hours.
It wasn't a dramatic snow, but a few inches accumulated around the area. Sioux Falls ended up with three to three and a half inches of snow.

- Mitchell: 0.1 inches
- Vermillion: 0.8 inches
- Brookings: 2.6 Inches
- Huron: 1.8 inches
- Pipestone: 2.8 inches
- Hurley: 3.4 inches
More snow is in the forecast for the Sioux Falls area on Monday (Feb 10) with two to five more inches of new snow possible before the system moves out of the area Monday night. Then the real fun begins. Cold Arctic air will take over Monday night with a low of 14 below and highs on Tuesday in the single digits.
