Downtown Sioux Falls is about to get fresher. Pomegranate Market, a locally owned natural and organic fresh foods grocer, will open for good with its highly anticipated second location at Cherapa Place on Friday, December 12.

The new 20,000-square-foot store brings a vibrant, modern energy to the city’s core, blending local sourcing, wellness, and community connection.

Store owners invite the public to celebrate the Grand Opening from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. at 350 N. Reid Place, featuring special promotions to honor the day. Guests will enjoy the convenience of ample free parking in the attached garage and surrounding areas.

Founded by Craig Snyder in 2010, the original Pomegranate Market on Louise Avenue quickly built a loyal following around trust, quality products, and a welcoming shopping experience. Second-generation co-owners Jonah Snyder and Gabe Messler felt it was time to expand the family business and determined Sioux Falls was ready to embrace a downtown location.

The new store integrates the mission and values established by its founder with modern twists and a “big city” vibe. The two Pomegranate Market locations are spearheaded by a leadership team that includes co-owners Craig Snyder, Jonah Snyder, and Gabe Messler, as well as general operations manager Matthew McFarland.

“I realized the heart of downtown Sioux Falls was filled with all kinds of new opportunities—it just felt right,” Jonah Snyder said. “The downtown store marks a new era for Pomegranate Market, and people are going to love it.”
