Plowable Snow Possible Sunday in Southern Minnesota

Go ahead, blame me. I put my snowblower and shovels away for the season, and switched out my snow tires. This is clearly and entirely all my fault.

The National Weather Service says that today's rain and rumbles of thunder will eventually switch over to a rain/snow mix tonight, before changing to all snow. How much? The forecasters are calling for accumulation of 3 to 5 inches in places like Faribault, Northfield, Owatonna, and Albert Lea.

To add insult to injury, high temperatures won't climb out of the mid 30s tomorrow. Wasn't it 85 yesterday?

Temperature are expected to rebound to near normal next week, but that's only in the mid to upper 50s. The 80s we've been experiencing for the last week are way above what we'd typically be seeing in mid April.
