No Dishonor Here – First Trailer For Live Action ‘Mulan’

Disney's Mulan is one of my most favorite movies. It's got some good one-liners, it's all about female empowerment, and it has some great music.

When I heard they were giving Mulan the live-action treatment, I was excited. I've really enjoyed every other live-action remake from my childhood. Aladdin loved. The Lion King loved. The Jungle Book loved. Beauty and the Beast loved. Cinderella loved. You get the idea.

And today Disney released the first full-length trailer for the live-action Mulan. My very first thought was, this looks so serious. I mean it looks like a really good movie, don't get me wrong, but it looks so intense. I even got goosebumps.

Disney had already announced that live-action Mulan would not have the music that we all know and love. I'm super bummed we're not getting the iconic "I'll Make A Man Out of You" moment. However, I did hear a bit of "Reflection" in the score. As well as a few other nods to the original. I see you, Disney.

All in all, I trust Disney with all my heart. I'm sure, even without the songs, that Mulan will be amazing. I'll probably cry. I can't wait until March 27.
