My First Time at Olde Towne Dinner Theatre
I say it all the time. I've lived in the Sioux Falls area since 2009 and I am still finding things to do for the first time.
I've always wanted to check out the dinner theatre and when a friend of mine was cast in Olde Towne Dinner Theatre's production of Godspell, so there was no time like the present to check it out.
Olde Towne Dinner Theatre is located at 121 South Main Street in Worthing, SD. Not Worthington, MN.
Most showings are a full dinner menu, however, there is a dessert matinee option.
Godspell opened this weekend and will run through June 27th. Godspell is a hard show to describe. According to the theatre's website, "A small group of people helps Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques, and hefty doses of comic timing."
The original Godspell was published in 1971 so I did find some of the 'changes' they made to the production interesting. There are a few things they tweaked to update the show a bit.
Ok, let's talk food!
The dinner consisted of a soup, salad, three entrées to choose from, and a dessert. There was a cash bar for beer and wine. Coffee, tea, and milk were complimentary.
The food was pretty darn good. Let me put it this way, I definitely did not leave hungry.
