Reader’s Digest just published an article that highlights the coolest secret place in each state. Now, I’ve been all around our state, but I had never heard about Minnesota’s number one secret attraction which is apparently 9,000 years old.

The Minnesota Historical Society says, “Jeffers Petroglyphs features more than 5,000 ancient rock carvings, or petroglyphs, set amid the prairie grasses. The carvings of buffalo, turtles, thunderbirds, and humans tell the stories of Native American ancestors."

Jeffers Petroglyphs is only open June-October so unfortunately it is closed for the season now. If you want to check it out you'll have to wait until next spring, but there are a lot of other cool things to do and see in the meantime. Check out the Minnesota bucket list below.
