Mayo Clinic-Rochester Ranked as World’s Best Hospital
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Mayo Clinic has done it again; Newsweek Magazine has ranked Mayo Clinic in Rochester as the best hospital in the world.
According to a Mayo Clinic news release, the rankings are based on patient survey results, hospital recommendations from peers gathered through an international survey of more than 80,000 healthcare professionals, and key performance metrics. Those include patient safety, hygiene measures, quality of care, and patient-reported outcomes.
Cleveland Clinic was ranked second this year, followed by Massachusetts General, Johns Hopkins, and Toronto General. Mayo Clinic-Jacksonville is listed 52nd and Mayo Clinic-Phoenix is ranked 78th.
In announcing the top ranking, Mayo stated "the ranking is a tribute to the work of staff across Mayo Clinic."
