When you think crop farming in this part of the world, the first thing that comes to mind for most people is corn and soybeans.

Well, there's a man in the Valley Springs area that's wanting to change that.  His name is Lee Anderson and he grows hops (yes, hops; like the kind used to make beer).

And, apparently, word is getting around that hops grown in this part of the country produce a rather unique and pleasant flavor - so much so that Anderson is having a tough time keeping up with demand.
