We've all been warned about the dangers of distracted driving, but new research suggests there could be a hidden danger in your car that has nothing to do with electronics - kids in the back seat.

A new Australian study found children are 12 times more distracting than a smart phone, though most people don't think of them as a dangerous distraction.

Parents take their eyes off the road for an average of nearly three and a half minutes during a 16 minute trip - to either talk to them, glance at them in the rear view mirror, or turnaround and yell at them.
