Here Are 2024’s Most Popular Baby Names in Minnesota

If you know someone who's adding a little bundle of joy to their family, there's a good chance they could be selecting one of these names, because they're the most popular baby names in Minnesota.

Trying to select the perfect name for your baby can sometimes be a bit of a tough task. A recent survey said parents-to-be here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes can often spend up to 47 hours trying to decide on the perfect name for their little bundle of joy!

Unless you're naming your baby after a relative or someone you know, many Minnesotans these days turn to the internet to see which names are popular. So, to help out, the crew at the parent site, BabyCenter, just compiled the Most Popular Baby Names for 2024.

And here in the North Star State, when it comes to boys, Noah ranked number one as the favorite name this year, followed by Liam and Oliver. Seven of Minnesota’s top 10 boys’ names were also in the top 10 list last year, while Asher moves up into the top 10 for the first time in several years.

Meanwhile, for girls, Olivia took the top spot as the favorite name in the Bold North in 2024, moving into first place from the #2 spot last year. Amelia and Emma came in second and third. Shout out to Ellie, who joined the top 10 list this year after placing 15th in 2023.
