Iowa Woman Arrested After Threatening Victim With Free Vasectomy
A 31-year-old Davenport woman is facing a felony charge of stalking using a technological device. The woman, identified as Josephine Zude, allegedly threatened to give the victim a free vasectomy, among other threats.

According to court records, Zude has been released on her own recognizance. She was arrested after a Davenport Police officer responded to a call regarding stalking at a Davenport residence on January 19.
Authorities claim Zude sent the victim hundreds of messages using a technological device over a period of two months, from December 2023 through January 2024. Court documents detail that the messages not only contained threats about giving the victim a free vasectomy, but also threats to destroy his trailer, car, and face.
Other messages reportedly expressed Zude’s ability to make things look accidental. These threats resulted in the victim feeling intimidated, fearing bodily injury to himself or his family members.
Zude Arrested And Facing Charges
Zude's arrest warrant was served, and she is set to appear for a preliminary hearing on February 27 in the Scott County Court.
The charge Zude faces is a Class C felony, which carries severe penalties upon conviction. If convicted, she could be sentenced up to 10 years in prison and fined a minimum of $1,000, which can be as much as $10,000.
