Drivers along Interstate 90 will have one fewer option to exit the roadway for a few days in the near future.

Starting Tuesday (May 7), the eastbound off-ramp at the Brandon exit (406) on I-90 will be closed daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The closure will allow crews from Xcel Energy to perform transmission line work.

Traffic is expected to be disrupted for five days.

A detour will be in place at Exit 410 by directing motorists back to Exit 406 in the westbound lanes.

The work is all part of a new diverging diamond interchange being put in place at the I-90 overpass in Brandon.

The entire project is expected to be completed by June of 2026.

Good Earth State Park is on the southeast edge of Sioux Falls right on the Iowa / South Dakota border.
