Stowaway Kitten Hitches Christmas Eve Ride From South Dakota to Minnesota
A South Dakota kitten took an unexpected road trip for the holidays.
On Christmas Eve, a semitruck driver was en route from the Mount Rushmore State to the Twin Cities when he heard something quite unexpected: the faint meows of a kitten coming from inside his cab.
That's when the driver discovered he had a stowaway - an orange male kitten that had somehow managed to climb aboard undetected in South Dakota and was now more than four hours from home.

The kitten eventually made its way to Companion Animal Care & Control in Oakdale, which chronicled the events on the Facebook page.
So far, no one has come forward to claim the kitten, which is currently listed as a male, domestic, juvenile, and outcome pending on the rescue's website.
