If you're like most South Dakotans right now, you're probably trying to find something to occupy your time on these bitter-cold January and soon-to-be February nights.

I'm guessing the great majority of us are not spending oodles of time outdoors after we get home from work unless, of course, you have to shovel, or you're into ice skating,  snow skiing, or freezing your baguettes off.

Planting your behind on the couch in front of the TV seems to be the popular choice for most people this time of the year.

So with that said, what is the average South Dakotan binge-watching when they turn on the tube right now?

A company called Wisevoter recently did some research on that very subject, and they put together data to determine what is the most popular TV show being watched in every state at the moment.

Come to find out we South Dakotans are a bunch of shady, conniving cats at heart because most of us are streaming the show "Kaleidoscope" on Netflix.

I'll be honest, I hadn't heard of the show, I REALLY need to start broadening my TV viewing horizons and start watching something other than old reruns "TJ Hooker" and "Hello Larry."

After doing a little investigative work on the series, I'll admit this Kaleidoscope show sounds somewhat intriguing.

It stars a variety of actors with the most well-known being Giancarlo Esposito, Jai Courtney, Paz Vega, and Rufus Sewell.

The series is comprised of eight different episodes that span a 24-year period. The show centers around the largest heist ever attempted, and all the scheming, betrayals, and vengeance behind it.

It's loosely based on the real-life story of seventy billion dollars in bonds that went missing in downtown Manhattan during Hurricane Sandy. And from what I understand, every episode of Kaleidoscope is a different piece of a puzzle, that supposedly can be watched in any order.

Sounds like a disjointed Quentin Tarantino flick to me.

If you haven't already, you might want to put that Netflix subscription of yours to good use, and give Kaleidoscope watch.

Hey, at least you'll be able to sound hip the next time your fellow South Dakotans are doing a little small talk at work in the break room over lunch.
