Big Brother...or is it Big Sister...is listening, and everything you say to your Alexa device is now being sent to Amazon, and You Can't Opt Out.

Amazon Echo users will soon lose control over how their voice data is handled.

As of March 28, Amazon is discontinued the "Do Not Send Voice Recordings" setting on compatible Echo devices.

This change means all voice interactions with your Echo device will be transmitted to Amazon's cloud servers by default, with no way to opt out while maintaining full device functionality.

The policy change comes as Amazon prepares to roll out Alexa+ which is an AI-powered voice assistant.

While the enhanced capabilities promise more natural conversations and improved functionality, they come at a clear cost to user privacy.

Users now face a difficult choice: accept that their voice data will be sent to Amazon's servers or potentially lose access to features they paid for.

Privacy advocates have long warned that AI advancements would eventually create tension between functionality and our individual data protection.

With Amazon's latest move, that prediction is becoming a reality for millions of Echo users worldwide.
