This Saturday, May 25, is a day you'll absolutely want to spend at the Great Plains Zoo and Butterfly House and Aquarium!

From the opening of the all-new splash pad to zookeeper chats, animal encounters, inflatables, yard games, bubble machines and so much more!

Plus the fantastic zoo carousel and Walkabout Australia are open for the season.

The zoo's Leap Into Summer schedule looks like this:

9:30 AM-4:30 PM - Splash Pad Open
9:30 AM - Animal Meet & Greet (Plaza)
11:30 AM - Brown Bear Zookeeper Chat
11:30 AM - Animal Meet & Greet (Plaza)
2 PM - Animal Meet & Greet (Plaza)
2:30 PM - Komodo Dragon Enrichment
3 PM - Primate Feeding
4 PM - Animal Meet & Greet (Plaza)

Additionally, you should know that every Wednesday this summer will be a "Wild Wednesday" at the zoo. They'll have extended hours until 7 PM from Wednesday, June 5 through Wednesday, August 7.
