East-side Sioux Falls Residents Will Soon Have Their Own Chick-fil-A
Quiet, do you hear that sound? It's the heavenly choir of chicken gods singing hallelujah, because Sioux Falls is finally getting its second Chick-fil-A location. Somewhere, a waffle fry just shed a tear of joy!
That's right, the drive-thru line at the 41st Street Chick-fil-A may no longer resemble a drive-thru marathon after the popular chicken chain opens up its second stand-alone location on the city's rapidly growing east side.
According to Sioux Falls.Business, the national chain, recently applied for a building permit to construct its second Sioux Falls restaurant at 4900 E. Arrowhead Parkway.
Sometime in the future, Sioux Falls eastsiders will no longer have to make the trek across town to get their fix of those heavenly nuggets, dipped in Chick-fil-A sauce.
Chick-fil-A made its grand entrance to the Sioux Falls market nearly four years ago, after opening its first location to the general public on 41st Street in front of the Empire Mall in September of 2021.
Technically, Sioux Falls already has two Chick-fil-A stores, if you count the one tucked inside the campus of Augustana University in the Morrison Commons building.
However, unless you're an Augi student or a person skilled at hiding a spicy chicken sandwich and waffle fries in a backpack, it's not exactly open season for the general public.
Once they open their doors, the East Side Chick-fil-A will feature both a dining room and drive-thru options for its customers.
One thing is for sure, loyal Chick-fil-A fans are extremely passionate about the franchise's menu. Look no further than their drive-thru line. Chick-fil-A customers are willing to line up in a blizzard and extreme heat to get their paws on some poultry.
Their chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets, waffle fries, milkshakes, and other delectable menu items have chicken lovers clucking with delight day and night!

For those of you out there keeping score, Chick-fil-A also has locations on the campuses of SDSU and USD in Brookings and Vermillion, South Dakota.
Sounds like if you're a college kid in South Dakota, you're never more than 500 feet from a Chick-fil-A chicken nugget.
There's no official word yet as to when the second Sioux Falls location will open its doors. Hopefully, sometime before the end of 2026.
