Winning the lottery feels like it's almost impossible. But it does happen to very lucky people who purchase these significant tickets.

The Powerball Jackpot total on Saturday, October 21st was worth $70 million. Even though this total is not over one billion dollars, this is still a lot of money that can change anyone's life in an instant. Well, one person from South Dakota did win a portion of the Powerball Jackpot prize after Saturday night's drawing. The winning ticket was sold at a South Dakota convenience store.

A Facebook post from the South Dakota Lottery confirmed the exciting news that a lottery ticket sold in a Circle K located in Baltic won some of the Powerball Jackpot prize money. How much money was this lucky South Dakota ticket? Enough to buy a new car or maybe even make a down payment on a house.

The winning ticket sold at the Baltic Circle K is worth...$50,000! Although it's not the jackpot prize from Saturday's drawing, that is still a substantial amount of money. To give you an idea of how close the winner was to winning the entire Powerball Jackpot, the South Dakota Lottery said this ticket was just one number away. Wow...hard to imagine being that close to winning!

These were the winning Powerball Jackpot numbers from Saturday evening's drawing on October 21st:
