With some unable to work and federal assistance programs like SNAP benefits being cut, people in the Sioux Empire feel uncertain about being able to put food on the table. Luckily, a popular fast food chain is stepping up.

Local Taco John's locations in South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota are offering a meal called the "Community Special." This is a free meal. No questions asked.
In a heartfelt Facebook post from multiple Taco John's locations, like in Milbank, South Dakota, officials say they want to help others during these "unusual times." Taco John's wants to make sure they feed their community with a "hot meal, no matter what."
We are going to be offering a free meal to anyone who needs it. All we ask is that you come visit the store and ask for the "Community Special." We will be offering a bean or beef burrito along with an order of Potato Olés for anyone in need. No questions asked.
