South Dakota Lottery Confirms Huge Monday Night Powerball Winner
Some people were probably waking up on Monday morning feeling a little disappointed after losing the $900 million Powerball Jackpot prize. But think again! One South Dakota resident is now $200,000 richer.
The Powerball Jackpot has been a big topic lately. Drawings occur every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday evening. Although a South Dakota ticket did not win the $900 million prize on Monday night's drawing (July 17th), one South Dakota Powerball Jackpot ticket did win a huge amount of money. Where was this winning ticket sold? It was at a gas station in Viborg, South Dakota.
In a post on its Facebook account, officials with the South Dakota Lottery say found the winning Powerball Jackpot ticket at Pump N Stuff in Viborg. Winning $200,000 is still a lot of money, especially since most South Dakota residents did not think they won anything.
These were the winning Powerball Jackpot numbers from Monday evening's drawing on July 17th:
5, 8, 9, 17 and 41, and the Powerball is 21
It seems like the South Dakota Lottery is still searching for the winning $200,000 ticket. If you did win the prize money, here's what you should do:
To claim your prize, visit a South Dakota Lottery redemption center. The Sioux Falls office is located at 3605 South Western Ave.
