Officials with the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society say they are officially out of room for cats. They need adopters now to help these cats find their "fur-ever" home.
Our four-legged friends are huge companions in our lives. They are truly part of the family, so it's always difficult to believe that some animals do not have a permanent home. Individuals abandon them for various reasons, but that does not mean our dogs, cats, or other pets don't deserve a second chance.
A shocking announcement came from the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society, saying that the facility is full of cats under their care. The Sioux Falls Area Humane Society confirmed the high number of cats in a Facebook post, and with our news partners at Dakota News Now.
Currently, the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society has 312 cats at the shelter, with 115 available for adoption. Dana Konzem with the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society asks you to open your heart and consider taking a cat home.
“Right now, we need that compassion more than ever. Adopting or fostering even one cat makes room for another who has nowhere else to go.”
