Rapid City, South Dakota Firefighters Save ‘Extraordinary’ Baby
We have heroes in every part of the Sioux Empire, including in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Last year, firefighters with the Rapid City Fire Department had an "extraordinary emergency" and had to spring into action quickly to save a newborn's life. Luckily, those efforts paid off in a big way.

A newborn baby in vehicle having trouble breathing last December. These warriors had no time to waste. A life was endanger and thanks to quick thinking, the infant lived. But wait there's more good news! The Rapid City Fire Department are happy to report this baby has been been adopting and is thriving! This exciting update was posted on the fire department's Facebook page.
Her new family is so love with this little angel. They call her their "greatest gift."
They safely received a newborn baby from a vehicle after the infant was born and experiencing breathing difficulties. Their quick actions helped ensure the baby was safely transferred into the care of medical professionals.Today, we're happy to share an incredible update: that baby has been adopted by a loving family and is thriving.The adoptive mother wanted to express her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who played a role in saving her child's life that day
