Dogs are genuinely happy animals, especially when they are around people and other dogs. One dog at an Iowa dog daycare was so happy that she accidentally pulled a fire alarm.

Multiple national and local news outlets like KHQA in Quincy, Illinois, and KCRG in Cedar Rapids, Iowa are reporting a dog named Birdie pulled a fire alarm at her dog daycare facility in Grimes, Iowa.

According to an article from KCRG, Birdie had just walked into the Dogwoods Lodge for the day and was really excited to see everyone! However, Birdie's excitement came with a price. Owner of the Dogwoods Lodge Jessica Tapper explains to KCRG, "She (Birdie) just arrived for day camp and was just bouncing around and bounced into the fire alarm, pushed it in, pulled it down and that was it." This was truly an accident and it was even captured on video.

The Grimes Fire Department paid a visit to the Dogwoods Lodge and to their surprise they saw this adorable golden retriever just smiling at them. Birdie was clearly unaware that she was the cause of this sudden visit from the firefighters.

Eventually, Birdie apologized to her dog friends and the crew at the Grimes Fire Department. The Dogwoods Lodge even shared her cute apology note on the daycare's Facebook page.

Thankfully, the Grimes Fire Department did accept Birdie's sincere apology. She probably did the Dogwoods Lodge a favor for testing its fire alarms! Clearly, they are in tip-top shape!

Let this be a lesson for the overly-enthusiastic pets, stay away from the fire alarms!
