When we think of billionaires, places like Manhattan, Beverly Hills, or the Hamptons come to mind. But according to the Wall Street Journal, there are over 1,100 living throughout the U.S., living in almost every corner of the country.

Together, they're worth an astounding $5.7 trillion, and the only states without at least one billionaire are Alaska, West Virginia, and Delaware. Not surprisingly, the states with the most are: California (199), New York (136), and Florida (117), with Texas not far behind at 83.

But what about the Upper-Midwest states of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa? You might be surprised at just how many billionaires live in your own backyard.
