If you're in the mood for some good news about love, then this Sioux Falls couple is sure to melt your heart!

This week happens to be National Teacher Appreciation Week. So it's kind of fitting that this love story features two Sioux Falls teachers from Whittier Middle School. The couple was chaperoning a school dance, and it turned out to be a magical night not just for the kiddos but also for the rest of their lives.

Thanks to the help of students and staff at Whittier Middle School, there is a wedding to plan! Peter Chap and his now fiancé Suzannah Reave shared their journey with our friends at Pigeon605.

Believe it or not, Peter and Suzannah did not meet in the school hallway. The story of Whittier Middle School teacher Peter Chap and his colleague, education assistant Suzannah Reave starts at Great Bear Ski Valley. Peter was actually a snowboard instructor when the couple met two years ago. Suzannah was convinced to check out the end-of-the-season event at Great Bear Ski Valley. Clearly, those snowboard lessons were a success!

They exchanged numbers after the lesson. Suzannah initially told Peter she needed help with her bathroom. That "bathroom remodel" quickly turned into moving in and working together at Whittier Middle School.

This year, Peter wanted to take the next step with Suzannah. He explains to Pigeon605 it was only "logical" for this moment to happen at the local middle school. It took three weeks before the school dance to plan this proposal. Peter talked to his principal and the Student Council adviser to help pull off this epic surprise. Despite the school gossip in the halls, this was truly kept a secret! However, this proposal almost didn't happen...

The couple tells Pigeon605"The DJ prematurely dismissed the dance after forgetting the proposal plan, but staff corralled the kids back, and Reaves’ (Suzannah) colleague pulled her onto the dance floor and challenged her to a dance-off. The DJ began to play Bruno Mars’ ; 'Marry You,' called her name to answer a few questions, and when she saw Chap (Peter) by the DJ booth, it clicked in her head." After making his way through the crowd, Peter popped the question and Suzannah said yes! There is a great video of the kids cheering for their teachers!

No wedding date is set yet. However, Peter and Suzannah would love to have a winter wedding! Congratulations to the happy couple!
