I saw Nelly for the third time last night! If you told 14-year-old me that I would see Nelly three times in my life and even meet him once, she would have thought you were crazy, but it happened.

Nelly played The Swiftel Center in Brookings last night and that is exactly where I saw him for the first time 8 years ago. It's also where we met. The good old days.

Boy, how time flies.

Juvenile was his opener, and I gotta say, I really only knew two of his songs. "Slow Motion" and "Back That Thang Up," which we had to wait until the end of his set to hear.

Nelly on the other hand, came out swinging. He opened with "Party People" and just kept the hits coming. Then came "E.I." and "Shake Ya Tailfeather" and "Batter Up."

Then of course, he honored all his fans from day one with "Country Grammar" and "Ride Wit Me."

He did all the biggest hits as well doing a chunk of newer music and then circled back to end the show with "Hot in Herre" and "Just A Dream."

One notable difference from last night's show versus the other two times I've seen Nelly, he kept his shirt on this time. I mean, it's not that big of a deal, just an observation.

Excuse me while I go listen to some Nelly tunes and relive the awesomeness.
