Incredible 2023 Concert Lineup Revealed for Iowa Speedway
Last year, Hy-Vee blew the doors off music fans in Iowa with a tremendous lineup for IndyCar Race Weekend at Iowa Speedway. It couldn't be better, right? Wrong.
I'm pretty sure when I received the media release from Hy-Vee my mouth dropped open. They're bringing in some of the biggest names in music for performances the weekend of July 22 and 23, 2023. Here's who race and music fans will see take to the stage next year at Iowa Speedway in Newton.
On Saturday, July 22, prior to the IndyCar race, it's Carrie Underwood. Yes, Carrie Underwood will open the day.
After that day's IndyCar race, another country superstar will take to the stage. It's Kenny Chesney.
Then on Sunday, July 23, before the race it's Zac Brown Band.
When the race concludes, Ed Sheeran will hit the stage.
Bud Denker, President of Penske Corporation, said in a media release,
“Thanks to the support of Hy-Vee and their commitment to making Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend one of the biggest annual events in Iowa, we truly delivered a memorable experience for our fans this summer at Iowa Speedway. With four incredible concerts featuring some of the most popular acts in music today, Hy-Vee is raising the bar even higher in 2023. Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend is going to bring non-stop excitement on and off the track July 21 through July 23.”
Over 80,000 attended the race weekend in Newton in July of 2022. Tickets for 2023 will be available to the general public on Monday, December 5. Ticket renewals for people who purchased tickets for the 2022 event will start on Monday, November 21. You can also register for a pre-sale here.
The four concerts are all included with tickets purchased for the Hy-Vee IndyCar Race Weekend. Performers do their shows trackside, in front of the Iowa Speedway's main grandstands. The pre-race concerts each day will be 60-minutes and the concerts that follow the races will each be 90-minutes.
Trackside concert passes will be available for purchase sometime in 2023.
